  • Here is Where Your Journey Begins …

This is a website that is as raucous as it is romantic. It's an eclectic collection of amazing personas that come together every year to make my job as a wedding photographer so amazing. Scrolling though these posts always leaves me humbled and smiling to myself, happy to recall my clients' laughter as they experienced their big day. I hope that visiting here gives you a little bit of the same. I'd love it even more if it inspired you to let me help tell your story. Maybe we'll even make a few inside jokes of our own? Enjoy.

Paul & Nicole :: Married // Mt. Clemens, MI Wedding Photography

Nicole and Paul were a tremendous amount of fun to work with this year. They’re these two genuinely happy, dedicated people that are just downright easy to be around. I swear, five minutes

Dave & Justine :: Married // Batavia, NY Wedding Photography

This wedding was a really special one for me. You see that blonde dude smiling above this text? That guy used sleep with his legs hanging off of the end of the worn, old corduroy couch in the living

Ross & Amanda :: Engaged // Grand Haven, MI Engagement Photography

Ross and Amanda drug me clear across the state for their engagement session. When I rolled into Grand Haven, the wind was ripping and the clouds were threatening. It didn’t look too friendly.

Brandon & Marianne ::Married // Rochester Hills Wedding Photography

I really enjoyed this wedding. It was a lot of fun hearing about the wild adventures of Marianne and Brandon. Tandem bicycle racing and sporadic trips to third world nations were just a few of

Aaron & Allyce :: Married // Essexville, MI Wedding Photography [ The Grand ]

I really could not be happier to have seen Aaron and Allyce married this summer. I met Aaron a while back when he was a student in one of the classes I was lecturing. It’s funny where my

Kyle & Ashley :: Married // Detroit, MI Wedding Photography

Kyle and Ashley did the Motor City Wedding thing in a big way. It all started at the Westin Book Cadillac hotel where all of the ladies and gentlemen of the bridal party assembled for this beautiful

Matt & Michelle :: Engaged // Rochester, MI Engagement Photography

If I got one thing from meeting Matt and Michelle. They love each other very much, they seem to share a genuine sense of humor and of themselves. Like old souls, you know? It was fun to photograph

Andy & Sara :: I’M ON A BOAT! // Stoney Creek Metro Park Engagement Photography

Just me and you here in a canoe … no, wait. This canoe was made for just two …. no, hmmm? A canoe for two looks perfect for me and — Oh, forget it! While Andy and Sara’s

Baby Arthur :: Ann Arbor, MI Family Photography

Meeting new people and seeing families grow is and has always been one of my greatest joys in being a photographer. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the opportunities to spend time

John & Teresa :: Married // Harsen’s Island and Macomb, MI Wedding Photography

I’m not big on boats. That is to say, deep water is one of the few things that makes my skin crawl. With that embarrassing tidbit out of the way, let me profess to you that I had to drive my

Chris & Megan :: Engaged and with Pugs // Detroit, MI Engagement Photography

Megan can do just about anything in high heels, I think. We weren’t five minutes into the session and I have her climbing a a fifty-foot hill at a pretty decent incline. She also traversed

Jeremy & Melissa :: Married // Ann Arbor, MI Wedding Photography [Cobblestone Farm]

Ok, so I’m using this blog post as a return to my commentary. I’ve had a lot of quiet posts lately, and that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had anything to say about my clients.

Where’s all the blog updates, dude!? :: Down, but not out.

I’ve been having some issue with my WordPress, guys. I’m woefully out date in both my WP version and my SQL server version. This has suddenly decided to give me some issues. I’ll be

Jan & Fawn :: Married // Farmington Hills, MI Wedding Photography

What can I say about how much fun this wedding was, that the pictures won’t? Not much really. So skipping past my ramblings and scrolling down to the eye-candy might just be the wise decision

Brandon & Marianne :: Visit to the D // Detroit, MI Engagement Photography

I’m under some pressure here to have a witty something-or-the-other to say about these two. Marianne told me this much when I began photographing this Motown e-session. I’ll say this.

Jonathan & Rachel :: Together // Michigan State University Campus Engagement Photography

Jon and Rachel’s session might have been the last chilly one of the year (fingers crossed). I have a few unrelated and random comment as a result of this shoot. 1) I’m actually starting

Brandon and Jane :: Beat of Their Own Drum // Ann Arbor, MI Engagement Photography

I just had an absolute blast photographing Brandon and Jane the other week in downtown Ann Arbor. We started off at Seva — location of their first date — and ended up sharing some laughs

Scott & Heidi :: Engaged // MSU Engagement Photography

For their snowball showdown (see bottom of post), Scott and Heidi met up with me at MSU’s campus for a snowy e-session. I was on my way back to Royal Oak from a wedding on Michigan’s

Jeff & Emily :: Married // Dearborn, MI Wedding Photography

So, Jeff and Emily had a wedding and I was there. Luckily, I suppose, considering I was the dude with the camera. The weather was mild (Michigan winter considered), the bride and groom were chill
